More Time For Everything...

I believe God has always reason why my blog page rank went to zero. I discovered many things I missed since paid opportunities had gone down for my paid blogging. I had more time to do things not only chores at home, but some things that I had to do for myself. I noticed, I lost weight...at least 5 pounds! Well, I remember when I became so busy with blogging because of too much opportunities coming in, I barely eat in a day. All I do is blog, blog and blog! Not eating much, sleeping late, and so I neglected all about myself as well. Too bad!

I am scheduled for a car shopping today! :). My husband will be picking me up later this afternoon to see a car I have chosen so far from 3 options that I had in mind. I had this in line; Honda Fit, PT Cruiser and Toyota Yaris. Few months ago, I was able to test drive the Honda and PT cruiser. Lawn Mowing is Done...Finally!

Finally, I am so glad to share with you guys that our lawn mowing has been done. Both I and hubby had a tough hurdle doing it for 2 days. I know both of us neither enjoyed doing it. My hubby usually does it, with the habit of complaining because he hates mowing the lawn! lol! I helped him because the grass was so thick. That means he needs an assistant for raking the grass. Gosh! I am now having painful muscles on both of my thighs and hubby had back pains...well, both of us are not getting any younger. :).
Thank God for this. I always get bothered when the lawn is being ignored by my hubby. You know he hates seeing the grass growing so fast. We can't seem to find any solution yet for the grass to stop growing, hehehe...I suggested buying a pesticide and sprinkle it all over. He laughed!

I am homesick!

I called home yesterday to tell them that the "balikbayan box" I sent them is on its way! Then, I didn't realize I was on the phone for more than an hour. Momma had a lot of stories to tell, so I just had to stick my ear to the phone and listen. After the talk, I suddenly felt so homesick and wanting to visit Philippines again. I know, we can't make it this year, and so I guess I just had to fight homesickness and boredom. Waaa,,, I don't know why I suddenly got this feeling of sadness. I am praying I can overcome this and just get used to it.

My Sisters...

They are my sisters in Christ. Last Sunday, the women's led the church worship, so we were incharge for the praise and worship service. I was helped by my two sisters (both of them were wearing dress), I was in my casual top and black pants. :). I am not fond of wearing a dress, but for some special occasions, I do wear one! :)

The Heat Is On!

I got my first taste of summer today. We have a temperature in the 80's, so I was able to wear my shorts and a T-shirt for the first time this year! :). It's like the first taste of summer. Perfect! And...my ever first sweating day for the year.LOL! I am not sure how cold will be tonight, but I guess it won' be much because weather forecast says we will be in the 50's. We've got a special birthday dinner together with our friends tonight, so I think the idea of wearing a dress is smart...not too cold. :). Hubby was quite wondering about his outfit (dress shirt and tie), he said he might be out there sweating like crazy! I hope not! We will be inside the restaurant most of the time.

I was telling him we have a good rapport with blogging session...he beamingly agreed. Actually, I ask his help when I am not that good in a certain topic but he is good at it. Funny...

Later this afternoon, I was glad that hubby came home from work a little earlier. I told him about what happened to my page rank and so he gave me $10 bucks. I asked him what was that about? Curtain Rods

When it comes to window treatments, my house really needs it. I got two big windows downstairs that need curtain rods. Since each window has to have two rods in it, I need different designs for each. I checked my PR today and now it's telling me I am back to ZERO! Well, this is expected, so I won't wonder. Anyway, PR 3 for two months was a great help for me...I got at least a whooping $2K in my account. My blog must have been too crowded with ads that google finally saw it. And there I get back to a zero...as in nada page rank.
There's still a good news for my other blog which still maintains a PR2. Although it is a sub domain blog, its PR2 has been there for more than 3 months now. The only sad thing on the other hand is there's not much opps to be given for PR2 blogs, and sub domain are not that much also.

Hubby's Outfit For Work

Early this morning, I saw hubby taking his barong tagalog from his closet. I asked him is it sunday today??? And he said, no it's Friday and I am going to work. I told him he must be getting the wrong shirt outfit for work, because he only uses the barong tagalog every sunday. And he said, he is wearing barong tagalog to work. I said HUH?? And I found out he's really not joking! LOL! I still remember when I was still in the Philippines, he would tell me he wears barong tagalog to work at times. And many of his co workers say he's wearing a fancy top! :)

Another Blessing!

Today, my husband told me a good news!...he got another incentive award from his job for $1300. They are giving it through his account, and this is just another blessing from above! :) We are really very thankful for it, and grateful to God for being so good to us.
We are also planning to help my brother buy his books for his lecture. He is now a lecturer of RT workers in the middle east, and I guess this is a tough responsibility, but must be proud to do it for the sake of the people who need his help.

BackgammonMasters Guinness Gamer World Record

Yes, this is really serious! Backgammon Masters online has applied for a Guinness Gamer World Record. Fruit Salad

I consumed most of my time in the kitchen today. But guess what? I had a hard time figuring out what to cook for my lunch and what to prepare for hubby's dinner. Then I thought of preparing a fruit salad (easy to prepare). :)

I prepared a watermelon and canteloupes mixed with condensed milk. :) I always love this combination when it comes to fruit, the fact that watermelon is one fo my favorite fruit. I should have added mangoes to it, but I don't have one. Besides, Philippine mangoes are still the best taste to mix in it. We eat mangoes here at times, but it is still a different taste with the Philippine's native mangoes! ;)

Then, I cooked my pinakbet (with bagoong) for lunch, and I am cooking beef steak tagalog for hubby.

Now, I am getting tired, so I deserve a break :).

Everyone needs vitamins and minerals, which are crucial for good health and long life. What we don't need are megadoses of these essential nutrients in pill form. The greatest health benefits come when we get our vitamins from a balanced diet-but only 3% of us eat well enough for that. So unless your doctor has advised you to take a supplement for a specific medical reason, a daily multivitamin is all most healthy individuals need. Read labels to see how much you're getting of each nutrient, and ask your doctor before starting any vitamin regimen, especially if you already take prescription drugs. Based on the latest studies, here are 10 you can skip:

• Vitamin A - Excess amounts accumulate and can be toxic. Too much A can blur vision, cause headaches and vomiting, and also lead to liver, bone and central nervous system problems, among others. My First Pork Sinigang! :)

Yesterday, I tried cooking my first pork sinigang. Wayback in the Philippines, I didn't spend much time in the kitchen. I didn't even take the chance to do cooking. Now, I have to do more cooking since I got married. Did you know that I have to call my mom via long distance and asked her how to cook adobo?? LOL!...I am so glad, hubby love it so much. I got his taste. Adobo is his favorite Filipino food.
Well, last night, I let my hubby tasted my pork sinigang...he didn't like it. :(. He is not fond of having soups (sabaw) - Filipino style. Now, I've discovered one more thing he doesn't like aside from dried fish and fish soups. All the Filipino-style soups, he wipes his tongue out for those!
Anyway, it was excellent taste for me. I ate a lot, and reserved some for today. :). I am making another menu for hubby, good thing he loves monggo beans! That's what he'll getting tonight! ;)

Every afternoon during the weekdays, kids always gather on this playground playing La Crosse. The parents and their coach are also there.It seems it's a class because the kids are being trained. The playground is just across the street infront of our house, so in the afternoon, the place gets crowded with all the cars around too :) It's fun watching the small kids play, so sometimes, I watch them.

I am not sure if this was really taken for real, but I want to believe, it is! I actually received this photo from my hubby's phone, and just look at the cloud shapes. Isn't it amazing? Sometimes, there are really perhaps millions of shapes in the clouds that you can ever see. I still remember when I was small, I used to see animal shapes, or facial shapes. And isn't it amazing how God uses our imagination to see things He wanted us to feel and see? I believe in what I see in the clouds...isn't it that even colors, He made it so beautiful for us? Our Trees Are Growing!

As spring continues, our trees at the backyard have been growing so good. These trees are really strong survivors weather wise. The last time I watered them was late fall. lol! But I admire the sturdiness...look at them now! Anytime from now, I guess I need to start watering them again, at least 15 minutes each tree. They are looking robust so that stray cats love to lay and sleep under of them. I hope they are not pooping and peeing under there, or else, the tree might die!
I caught 2 cats sleeping there several times, but so far haven't seen them hanging around this week. :)

Scam in the Streets

Yesterday, while we were getting gas, one woman approached my husband. I was inside the convenience store so I went out, thinking that she must be his friend. When I got close, my husband introduced me to the lady...then, she said "nice meeting you, and thanks for the help (she showed me the $20 given by hubby), this will be a great help to pay for my room." I asked her back, where are you staying at? She said, Ramada Inn. The hotel is just beside the gasoline station, and it is where our church is being held. She said her name was "Heather" and she is staying at "Room 108". She revealed further that the hotel is ready to throw her out and her things because she couldn't pay the room.

We went back to the hotel, and asked the desk if she was telling the truth...there was NO Heather and NO Room 108 in the hotel. We didn't mind helping her, but the bad thing is she lied to us, and even using God's name. We don't know why she is doing that. She seems to be sane and even wearing good clothes. Whatever her real reason was, we were still willing to help her, but a scamming work like that shouldn't be tolerated. I am sharing you this for those of you who are not aware of it. Just in case you will be approached by this person, you should know what to do. Beware for scams in the streets!

"I love the grass - it's dead!"

That's not my line -it's my hubby's! LOL. I remembered him saying that last winter. He hates mowing the lawn, and now that the grass are turning green and thicker, his line is "How I wish the grass is dead!"...hahahaha! I think, that will be his line this spring. :)

Then I told him, what we probably have to do is let the whole lawn be cemented and paint it all green. ...he chuckled!

It will be a tough job for me to convince him to mow the lawn again from time to time. Silly Friday!

This afternoon, hubby came home a little earlier and I was startled a little bit when he was rushing up the stairs and looked so worried. Then he gushed: "Oh my! I forgot to plug it this morning, and so I even wondered why it didn't ring even once today! LOL. Silly me! I made my husband so nervous!

Printer Ink Made in the Philippines?

We bought a printer ink for our printer, and when we tried printing colored graphics, there were lines on all of the printed materials. It's like when the printer has a dull printer head. Hubby checked the printer, and it was okay...in fact a very good high quality printer.
Then I tried to check the ink box if there is an expiration date on it, but what I found underneath the box was "Made in the Philippines." It was an exported ink from the Philippines to America, sold in Office Depot. I should have been proud with my country exporting products, but not this one. The brand is Lexmark, and my hubby has been using Lexmark for so many years now, with good quality print outs. This one came in a different packaging, like save some dollars, and get black and white ink and a color ink in one box! Yes, much cheaper, but the quality??...no good!

Just wondering...

Sometimes, I find PPP's opps a bit weird...I mean, aside from clicking a white color opp (my most favorite color), it says "All of the available posts for that opportunity have already been taken." Then when I get to view it, it is still white. Now, that's making me crazy at times!

Guess What?

If I won't be telling you the name of that thing, would you be able to guess this vegetable?...it's a raddish!.."Labanos" in Tagalog, and "rabanos" in bisaya. lol! My hubby got it for me from the store. I told him the white raddish because he was telling me there's the red one. I was thinking it's the white long one with white skin, but I didn't think there is this kind of raddish that looks like "upo", hahaha....(by the way what's the english for that?? :0)

Well, I pricked and smelled it, and it is really raddish! I haven't tasted it yet if it is exactly the same as the regular long white raddish. Will gonna cook it tomorrow for my pork sinigang. :)

Nice, Nice Weather

We are in the 70's today and I love that temperature. I always track one week weather forecast almost daily. But on the weekends, it will go down to 40's again. But generally, I guess some beginning traces of summer suddenly comes up once in a while :).
Hubby has been complaining he's sweating like crazy, but I told him I love the weather! :). How I wish it doesn't get cooler this week. it's nice hanging out this way.

The First Few Colors of Spring

The trees on our neighborhood have finally started blooming showing their colors. I have been wanting to have a dogwood tree on our yard, but it seems there would not be enough space to put it. It pleases my eyes seeing these colors every spring. I always take photos of them as long as I have a camera on my side. I still remember my first spring when I requested my hubby to stop beside the road and see the colorful trees. I was glad he obliged and he ended up as the photographer of me posing with the trees of different colors. :).

Hearty Dinner

Last night, it was kinda funny when hubby requested me to cook some rice. I told him I will just be cooking enough for him because I won't be eating rice for dinner. He was surprised! Well, it seemed our dinner menu was reversed...he was eating his balck beans with rice, and I was eating my beef roast with my favorite garlic mashed potatoes and corn! He was a Filipino that night and I was an American that night! :)

I am not an avid fan of Cher but one of my friend is. She has been closely following Cher's shows and concerts, so I might as well tell her about Cher's upcoming concert in Las Vegas. She is California-based, so I bet she would be there on Cher's show. Afterall, she travels a lot too :). My hubby suddenly asked me this question few days ago which one would I choose. I became speechless for a while...then I told him if i can choose both. :). He fimly said I only have to choose one. Bullies in the Neighborhood

I can still remember what happened two weeks ago when our other car, parked along the road was painted with the word "POOP" on the left rear window. We didn't actually saw who did it, but hubby saw it first when he came home from work. However, we couldn't say it's fom the neighbors who did it because our neighbors are good people. There are even no teen groups hanging around as well as no gangs. It's a peaceful neighborhood and so far, the whole block of houses where we belong, don't have male teens. But as long as there are no crimes and bad happenings, that should be fine. We are close to the police station and fire department...at least, it is really limited and very well controlled, although there are some bullies who becomes crazy at times...so happened, he saw our car parked there for a long time, and wrote something he wanted to express all about himself!

With the seemingly unendless tasks I am doing these days, I guess I should go back to my usual routine again. The past few days, I was so stubborn doing my chores. But since tasks are piling up, I might as well start finishing one before I would be caught up buried on them. Now, I am both tied to household chores and paper works. Pity me! It's like I am running out of breath to catch up deadlines. Well, no more sad Monday..because today is Tuesday, it's gonna be busy! lol!

Woke Up Early Today!

I used to wake up around 10-11AM. It's just because I am a late sleeper. Last night, I slept early (10:30PM, that's my earliest sleep so far). Sam - The Shredder

We bought a paper shredder this week, and as usual, hubby was too quick to name him "Sam". I don't know where did he get that name since I am used to naming them by brand! :). In fairness, the brand name seems to be "too formal", so Sam is okay. :)

Down and Blue

I was just feeling down and blue these past couple of days. My hubby was bugging me why I am not the usual me. Cold Feet!

I feel inconvenient when my feet get cold everytime I remove my socks. I don't know why they are very sensitive and easily get cold even if I am inside the house. I can walk more comfortable without socks, but since they get cold from time to time, I have to wear socks! My hubby would always complain and get startled everytime I don't have socks when going to bed because I am used to placing my both feet on his feet. :)

2007 Income Tax Filing

It seems we can't be able to make it on the April 15 deadline, so we decided to file for an extension. We did the same last year, so we should be fine. Hopefully, we can be able to complete it before the end of May so we can be able to get the copy for our I-751 petition. Sometimes, I am telling my hubby it must be nerve wrecking doing the taxes when you have more than one job. :)
Oh, well we are really blessed for the job(s) my hubby are doing, while I recently got work online earning too. ;)... both of us are so thankful for God's showers of blessings. We are getting the most of it. :)

"Mixed Nuts"

Last night, my attention was drawn to google when I started checking my page rank. So, far, as of this moment, I am not yet hit by Google's "punishment", so to speak. Then, I went on reading about paid links affecting page ranks, until I reached searching about no-follow tags.

Now, I don't know what this means, so I searched and read further. Assessing to the sources that I read, it seems they are telling me it's much more safer to do the no-follow tags when doing your paid links. And remember some companies who would require no-follow tags on your opps? I do, but the links I submitted are still follow tags, because opps will be rejected if I add the no-follow html on the link given. Then they talk many factors, like quality content of your blogs should be high, inbound links should be credible and non-spammers, then I ended up reading about Google's algorithm...now what the heck is that? I read more about it, and my brain went "mixed nuts"!!...I hate numbers, except when they become high on my savings account! :). As simple math equation will drive me nuts...and more mixed nuts if you give me algorithm.

Now, I still don't get it. Just spending some time reading more about page ranks done by google made me went to bed at 3AM...I dreamt about links and page ranks the whole sleeping moments I had, and woke up very hungry! That ends my story...I still can't get it why I got a PR of 3, hehehe...

Nim's Island

Today is the first day of showing for the movie "Nim's Island" to a theater close at home, so we decided to go watch it with hubby. We chose the 9:25pm show. Upon arriving at the movie theater, a note on the ticketing booth said that the movie has been cancelled due to technical problems. Since we were already there, we just watch what was there..."superhero movie". It was just a so-so, just had a bit of a laugh with a bit of green jokes on it.
Well, sometimes, this movie theater is funny. It is a very old cinema, and sometimes we are the only ones watching inside...just the two of us. :). At other times, it would be so full. And now, they cancel movie that is about to be shown...holy crap! Anyway, they said the movie will be available tomorrow. I wanna watch the movie, so I told hubby we have to call them tomorrow before going just to be sure.

I was frying my banana fritters and I got this burn from a splattered cooking oil that landed on my right arm. I used to have my screen cover for protection against splattering but I didn't use it feeling confident that it would just be okay. Well, it didn't go on okay so I got burned. Blueberry Lake Resort Vacations

I really do enjoy travel. I must have been lucky that in just a matter of less than a year in the US, I was able to travel numerous states, together with my husband. This year, we are planning to go out of the country for a vacation, and we are considering a lot of places as well. We have Canada in one of our travel plan lists but we are not quite sure yet where to go. If plans will work out well, it would be in time for our 4th year wedding anniversary this October. :) Blueberry Lake for a change? I would say YES!..a big change of scenery for me. I can't wait to see more colorful trees again to come out. I was just looking out our window today and saw a tree at our backyard starting to bloom its buds out. My stomach usually growl at the middle of the night. The other night, I decided to eat my favorite watermelon as my midnight snack! LOL! My Kapamilya Channel

Last night, I was able to subscribe for my TFC channel to premium edition. I was formerly on the "teleserye on demand" subscription which costs $7.95 for month, but only limited to the soaps. Doctor's Appointment

Today was my husband's doctor's appointment, and I thought I can just go with him for check up too. He told me I need to have an appointment scheduled first so, I didn't go with him, and instead he did the appointment schedule for me since I told him I'll just have his doctor as mine too. Well, it surprised me when he came back and told me to have my complete physical check up with the doctor on JUNE 24 at 8AM...geesh, more than 2 months wait huh? And fillable forms are overwhelming, just like applying for a job! :)).
I get scared thinking of my coming medical check up from time to time and I think of many "what if's". The last time I had it was 2004. I know I felt better praying about it, but I get nervous at times when I think about it, maybe because I've gone through a lot when I had my surgical operation, and when I got sick and hospitalized several times while I was in the Philippines. Illegal Driving?

I got some time to drive and move the car a little bit a few steps away from where it was, so I can clean the drainage under where our car was parked.
