Nasty Comment!
Well, I am posting your comment here. Of course, I rejected it to be published, but I am copying it here, much more being seen by the public rather than just being a comment below my post. perhaps, you might feel happier about it.
Here is his comment:
"you must work, directly or indirectly, for a cosmetic company or a magazine that lives off cosmetic ads. A tan, used in conjunction with an SPF, is the best way to protect your skin. Stop making money off telling people the sun is bad for you. Over 50% of the people in the US are Vitamin D difficient and that is in part due to cosmetic companies wanting to make money off "Sunscaring" people. "
And oh, by the way, that post is not a paid post. I am not making any money out of it for your information. I can perhaps make money about it if you can offer me what type of SPF do you use and I would help you blog about it...name the price, and we'll talk about it okay?? :)
I have been receiving comments about my paid posts as well, giving me a link to promote their site, but I didn't give a damn about it. It's because I thought of that as a certain way of helping people promote about their site, (though I am not sure if this is allowable for the ad sponsors). But this type of comment is a different story. It's some act of irresponsibility and immaturity. That only shows what kind of a person who doesn't read much about a topic. He was purely basing on the post and made an accuse right on the spot. You still need to READ more, James. You're running out of information.

There are lists of hundreds of online casino reviews out there. But there's no other unique reviews other than Pro360 does. Po360's goal is to help players who want to play or gamble online reduce time consuming efforts in looking for online casinos that they like and at the same time one that considered to be the best online :) Come to think of it, there are almost 3,000 online casinos scattered on the world wide web, and you're not even sure how safe it is to play on them without passing a thorough review. Pro360 does a detailed review on each site, basing on game experience, trust scores and bonuses offered by each casino and that includes all American casino approved sites. For US residents, you may want to try browsing on their list for best US approved Casinos. The list seems to be endless, so you have a lot of choices to choose from.

UVA vs. UVB
UVA ("aging") rays penetrate the skin deeply, causing wrinkling, spotting and skin cancer. UVB ("burning") rays singe the top layer of the skin and contribute to skin cancer. : )

Page Rank 3!
I love blogging ever since. I started from scratch without thinking of getting money out of it. Because of too much surfing, here I am now, joining the paid blogging world, with a lots of ups and downs, fun and sometimes bad times, but the essence of blogging about yourself and about what's on your mind, your feelings, life, family, etc...is just a joyful thing to share. (without getting paid).
I am so much blessed financially. I don't need to crawl and get sleepless nights just to get that money. But you know that thing as golden chance? While you enjoy blogging, it is much more fulfilling blogging and getting paid too :)). It's like eating your piece of cake is tasty, but eating your cake with your favorite ice cream on top of it is much tastier, right?
Now it's PR3, tomorrow is what?...not that important. The bottom line is: "Strike the iron while it's still hot."...don't you think?
Gosh! Will google actually release its spiders to crawl on this post? Naku po! Patay tayo...:)).

A Mug (Cup) That Runneth Over :)
One time I just decided to throw it away in the trash can, and I got one mug from his collector's shelf to replace it. Gosh! the next morning, he was looking for it like crazy, and I told him it's already in the trash...I couldn't imagine, he was digging the trash that day...hahaha! Well, he was able to recover it, and so I got to wash it with a half bottle of clorox bleach! d
And so, he revealed to me he loves the mug because it is lighter for him to carry it. I told him he has to collect lighter mugs next time. All the mugs he has collected are breakable and heavy. If only I can sell them, we'll be getting more than a hundred bucks LOL!

Fried Jeprox!
I still remember, the other week, I requested my husband to drop by the Filipino store in wheaton while coming home from work. I told him to buy a fried fish, and this was what he bought me. :). It wasn't the one I was expecting him to buy, but when I tasted it, it was really good with rice. It comes with a vinegar...(hubby doesn't like it and I couldn't just describe his face while he saw me eating it, lol!). He hated the smell, and so he ate in a different table, LOL!

MWSD Legal
I am taking a case from the site which was a case of medical negligence. It was an interesting case, and can happen to anybody. Failure to Diagnose a certain medical condition to patient can be dangerous, both for the patient and the doctor. In this case, it came to a point that the settlement reached to $500,000 for the victim. Lawyer Christopher T. Moyer handled this case successfully. So, what a relief the family of the victim can have in winning the case such as this. Although the victim itself died, at least that's a good way a justice can be done. At MWSDlegal.com, they deal mostly with medical malpractices, motor vehicle negligences, or premises liabilites. Just imagine a world without "super lawyers" from MWSD Legal, huh? If you think you are a victim and needs assistance of a personal injury lawyer, feel free to call them at 888-548-6421 or you can also fill out the form online explaining about your case.

Reasons Why God Permits Problems In Life
1. God permits problems to DIRECT you.
Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God allowing this situation to get your attention? "Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways." Proverbs 20:30
2. God permits problems to INSPECT you.
People are like tea bags ... if you want to know what's inside them, just drop them into hot water! Has God tested your faith by allowing a problem or two into your life? What do problems reveal about you? "When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give you patience." James 1:2-3
3. God uses problems to CORRECT you.
Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something...health, money, a relationship...by losing it. "It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws." Psalms 119:71-72
4. God permits problems to PROTECT you.
A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Think about something you may be going through at this very moment… HOLD ON! BE STRONG! "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good"... Genesis 50:20
5. God permits problems to PERFECT you.
Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you're going to take with you into eternity. "We can rejoice when we run into problems...they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops strength of character in us and helps us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady." Romans 5:3-4
Here's the point: God is at work in your life-even when you do not recognize it or understand it. However, it's much easier and profitable when you cooperate with Him.
Let's do lift our hands up to Him for Thanksgiving!

What True Marriage Is
Just want to share Jim's article titled "Article of Love" which talks about the essentiality and what true marriage is. It's a nice article, and a very good stuff for married couples as well. For those who are still single and planning to settle down, it is a very good foundation ahead of you.
Subject: ARTICLE OF LOVE by JIM PAREDES of APO HIKING SOCIETY
Change in Eternally Beautiful Humming in my UNIVERSE By Jim Paredes
The Philippine STAR 11/05/2006
Exactly 29 years ago on Oct. 29, Lydia and I walked down the aisle. She was 20 and I was 25, both of us wide-eyed but so sure of ourselves and our decision to stay together forever as we plunged into matrimony. We were sure, the way young people tend to be certain, that it was going to be an adventure. But little did we know that it was going to be a big one, probably the biggest one we'd ever know. Getting married is like signing a blank check. You have no idea how much it will cost you. You are committing an unquantifiable amount of material and emotional capital time, money, patience, sacrifice, and an infinite number of things you have not even begun to imagine that you must deal with eventually.
Many of them are real minefields as Lydia and I, like all couples, soon discovered. There are the in-laws, kids, expenses, the balance between career and family life, personal habits, sex, jealousy, etc. There is also the process of arriving at a "negotiated settlement" on how to deal with things like getting along with each other's friends, child rearing, spending habits, religion, hobbies, and how much "independence" the partners should be allowed. The institution of marriage, as we inherited it, was very complicated.
One of the things I found out much later in our married life is that there is a difference between a love affair and a marriage. A love affair has a dynamic that is different from a marital bond. Generally, love affairs are not meant to last. They are meant to have a beginning and an end. Why? Because they are about two separate people bonded by romantic, oceanic feelings of what seems like love. They live for the intense feeling, riding it as far as it will go and split up when the thrill is gone.
Marriage, on the other hand, is the experience of life by two people as a couple. Many times, new couples discover that they are not an easy fit, as Lydia and I discovered early on. That's why in a marital relationship one must necessarily give up big parts of himself/herself to the union to get a payback. While one may still want some privacy and independence, one cannot have them without a large dose of a shared life. From the start until the end, marriage is about two people experiencing one and the same lifetime.
It starts with romance and the sexual thrill of being with each other, but you can only count on those for so long. Anyone married for more than 10 years can attest that there are times when the attraction which seemed so strong when you first laid eyes on each other as single people can be non-existent for long periods. Viewed from the perspective of a love affair, that is certainly not a good thing. One may feel like the journey has reached a stretch of uninteresting flatlands. The joyride is over.
But from the perspective of a long marriage, this is simply a hiatus of sorts, or may even be the first signs of a qualitative the way one loves. It can be disconcerting at first but if you stick around long enough, the picture starts to get clearer. While gone may be (from time to time) the breathtaking highs and exhilarating moments, something else may be happening. Author M. Scott Peck put it so well when he wrote that "the death of romantic love can be the start of true love."
In our early years, Lydia and I felt that being married meant we had to do something dramatic all the time to keep it going. But as we got older, the doing often gave way to just being. Where before, love had to be "proven" by the sparkling diamond on her finger, or the great trip abroad, or the special dinner with wine in some plush place, love in our 29-year marriage feels no compulsion to prove itself as dramatically. Having long walks, conversations after dinner, holding hands during long drives, snuggling in bed or just simply being together sometimes without even talking, have often taken the place of all that. While sex can still be as great as ever, the truth is, as an older couple, we have discovered other ways to remain interested in each other. There is not only comfort but magic in the "ordinary," as one realizes that love can be expressed in simply caring or supporting each other's steps towards personal and spiritual growth.
One of the big recent highlights of our journey as life partners was Lydia 's big cancer scare three years ago. We felt so helpless as we tried to deal with the fear of losing each other. But we took it on as a couple. As far as we were concerned, we both had cancer. Those were days of great emotional upheaval. Ironically, they were also moments of calm and assurance. Even as we cried about it, we also learned that we loved each other enough to willingly suffer together because, paradoxically, by doing so, we eased each other's pain. This may sound flippant, if not cruel, but looking back, I can say that if I could only guarantee survival, I would
recommend cancer to everyone because of what it has done for Lydia and me. It has been such a rare opportunity to meet and accept unconditionally the hard-to-take faces of love that we often run away from. Yet when we bit the bullet, we opened ourselves to greater depth and began to see the face of the Divine in the other human being we had chosen to love. Only then did we realize that all the suffering made sense.
In the end, the very suffering we undergo turns into something eternally beautiful.

Whitening a Yellowed Collar
Try this quick fix. I haven't tried it yet, but just in case, I got back up. Haven't encountered any yellowed collar either any of my clothes or my husband, since we let the dry cleaners do it :)
What you need:
A bottle of Johnson's Baby Powder and an iron.
Set iron to medium with the steam option turned on. Sprinkle onto the shirt just enough powder to cover the stained area and spread it with your fingertips. Hold the iron an inch above the soiled spot and steam for a few seconds. Then press down the iron for a count of three to set, and shake off the excess. let the shirt cool before wearing.

My Treasured Chest
While I was rearranging my closet, I found this treasure chest given to us by a friend, Barb on our wedding day. I didn't think this chest has been in my closet for so long and has been hidden in there for 3 years now.

I knew I had some small items that I put in there, such as tiny gift items and some accessories, but there was much more surprising than that because when I opened it, I still had my peso bills and coins that I carried all way in coming here in the US, the first time....geesh! call it really a "treasure"..I can still use it next time I go back Philippines :)) (pwede na pang shopping)

Perfume Collections..anyone?
I am not fond of collecting perfumes, but I do wear some scents rarely...on special occasions and sometimes to church. Other than that, I just stick with lotion. Anyway, if anyone of you collects perfumes, let me know,...if price is negotiable LOL!
Seriously, I don't even collect them, but it seems I am getting at least couple sets every christmas :) I do have perfumes that I love to wear, actually only 2 kinds. I am using Victoria's Secret Heavenly Angels and Moonlight Path from Bath & Body Works. I am not promoting the product, but I personally chose them because I love the scents...just mild and elegant.
But now, I am wondering how can I keep them without cluttering my dresser. I am running out of space!...:0 Most of those haven't been used since I got them. Good thing is that I didn't buy them so no regrets if I can't really use them. The strong scents are unbearable for me to smell and give me headaches. Whew! that's not good.
Anyway, I am ending up getting a balikbayan box to stuff those in. So far, that's the best idea I've got. After all, they would love that in the Philippines. They will be happy, I will be happy..so both are happy! hahahaha!!

My Happy Valentine!
My hubby was asking me the day before Vday how would I want to celebrate it. I told him I don't feel like going out, so I just decided, why not just celebrate it quietly at home. We both agreed and he volunteered to cook steak for our dinner. He cooks them excellently, and so he did. He was asking me again what would I like for Vday...I said nothing. Just his presence is enough. (Well, he still gave me gifts as usual...he is fond of surprises). Feb. 13, a dozen of colorful roses arrived at the doorsteps! Of course, who else would give me that???

That's me carrying it. lol!
I also had a box of heart shaped chocolates, a necklace, a blazer, and an umbrella...as you can see I am wearing and showing them hehehe....color combinations seem to be looking awful, but who cares anyway :)) It was a good try out!

So yummy! Couldn't wait to eat them!
Our dinner was good, and we enjoyed it both. My husband cooks a very good and tasty steak...that is his specialty! I tell you steak was yummy! That was our valentine day celebration. We celebrated it simply and quietly but memorable for me. Thanks hubby for being so loving as always. Luv ya..mwah!

Beware of Seasonal Flu!
Seasonal flu is raging through Maryland making emergency rooms so much crowded, health officials say.
I am very much concerned and highly worries me of my husband. Last year, he got the "bug" and it was very bad because I got it too! :( I have been telling him to be extra careful in safeguarding his health.
Anyway, as I was reading the paper the other day, I saw some tips from the experts:
"The flu is different from a cold. It usually comes on suddenly, and symptoms may include high fever, headache, fatigue, dry cough, sore throat, aches, and stomach symptoms.
- Get a flu vaccine.
- Stop the spread of germs with steps like frequent hand-washing and covering coughs and sneezes.
- Take anti-viral drugs if your doctor says you need them.

How Long Should Your Food Lasts?
From time to time, I am so much particular about our food on the shelf and in the fridge. I mean, I do keep track of expiry dates, or how long will that stuff to keep. There are times wherein some food's expiry dates are not on it so, it's kinda risky.
I think it is always safe and is very important for us to keep track about them. Almost everything has a time after which it is better not to use or consume.
Here are some lists of important items we should keep track and how long do they last:
KITCHEN:
- Sweetener - 2 years
- Asparagus - 3-5 days, refrigerated; 8 months, frozen
- Avocados - 2-3 days, refrigerated
- Baking powder - 18 months
- Baking soda - 2 years
- Beef - 3-5 days, refrigerated; 6-9 months, frozen
- Bread - 5-7 days, room temp; 1-2 weeks, refrigerated; 3 months frozen
- Butter - 1-2 months, refrigerated; 9 months, frozen
- Cheese - 4 weeks, opened (block, hard)
- Coffee - 2 weeks, opened, room temp.
- Dark chocolate - 2 years, kept in foil in a cool dark place
BATHROOM:
- Eye gels/Creams/Mascara - 3 months
- Eyeliner pencils - 2 years
- Eyeliner liquids - 3-6 months
- Eyeshadow powder - 2 years
- Face wash - 18 months
- Lotions - 6 months
- Nail polish - 1 year
- Powder blush - 2 years
- Mouthwash - 3 years
- Sunblock - 6 months
- Toothbrush - 3 months
- Batteries - 5 years for alkaline; 10 years for lithium
- printer ink - 6 months (opened)
- Fire extinguisher - 10-12 years
- Glass cleaner - 2 years
- Heat/AC air filter - 1-3 months
- Paint - 8-10 years, unopened; 2-5 years opened
- Cat Litter - replace clay litter every few days.

Early Valentine Gift
This was actually given by hubby mid week of January yet.
While we were on our way to the grocery store, he asked me what do I want for Valentine's day. I told him it doesn't matter, and he doesn't need to buy any gift. Maybe a quiet dinner together will just be okay for me. But he suddenly blurted he has something for me as an early gift. I asked hin "any clue?"...he said "a pet." I asked...a dog? he said, yes, at the trunk. Gosh! I was thinking it was a real dog :)) and was wondering why a dog at the car's trunk with a temperature so cold and freezing out there?! Then, this is what he put on my lap while closing my eyes. (he told me to close my eyes...surprise daw nga eh :))
So, guess who went to bed first that night...Dan Dee. He grabbed my spot, and we ended up sleeping together. Sowee, hubby was a bit farther away from me that night. Next day, he said Dan Dee has to move, and so Dan Dee's at the kiddie room...still sleepy and groggy. :)

A practical way to whiten your whites.
Sometimes, too much bleach is harmful for clothes. I have so many instances where our whites at home are becoming lesser usable because of too much bleach. There is a retro alternative that I read in a magazine on how to make your whites whiter without the harsh bleach.
Launder cotton whites in a cold water with 1 spoonful of tartar cream. This is usually being sold in the market (along spice aisle) ;), and then mix it with your usual laundry soap.
A great tip...worked for me :)

Slow Downloads @ Blogger??
I don't understand, but today I noticed that my blogs are having some slow downloads. It seems it is taking me to wait forever just to wait for my posts to come up. I am sure my pc is not a problem because I have been surfing to some other sites, and there is not a problem because my browser seems to be acting fast.
...it's strange :0

Does Your Husband Snore?
Are you aware of that thing "nasal strips"? There are a lot of these in a convenience store, and it says it reduces snoring :)) I bought one and told hubby to use it. Then, just tonight, he used it. My golly!...he is still snoring soooo loud!!! LOL!
He used to have a nasal operation few years ago because of too much snoring. Up to now he still snores, but he said it used to be worst before he was operated.
Anyway, it's just a matter of "getting used to it"...lol! It seems his snores are already a music to my ears :) But there are times that I can't really sleep with his snore. I have to shake him to wake him up because I can't just bear it.
When I get too tired, hubby's snore is all but a plain "lullabye" :))

Panic at the Basement
I woke up late today, so when I looked outside, it was raining. I wasn't sure how long has been raining, but it took me so many hours before I discovered that our sun pump was having a BIG leak down our basement...it wasn't actually a leak...it was squirting like a fountain, and I heard it as a sound of a waterfall. I don't exactly get how this functions no matter how hubby explains it, but as far as I know, it controls it from flooding the basement. You can hear it work with a sound when it is raining because it pumps and controls the water that comes from up the house going down. It was around 2:30pm when I found out the big leak when I went downstairs looking for something. The sound of a splashing water was so loud that I got panicky and called my husband that time who was at work. I told him I was scared about it since I don't know anything about it. The carpet was all wet and soaked up with water and so I hurried him to get back home which he did.
Notice also our wall which already went out of shape because of the water. My hubby told me this pump has been too old, and it needs to be sealed in some of the spots. It belongs to an old house, so I won't wonder :(, but it still can function well. The cover below was all wet too, because it supported all the water that squirted out while leaking. The water would have been as high as a fountain without the cover support, so thank God for it. It did a good job :)
Finally, hubby was home after 40 minutes, covered the leak, and suddenly the rain stopped as well...hhmmm, seems the weather played games on us today! I still have to be cautious when it rains. Another assignment to do when rain comes, check the sun pump!...that's when I am around. Whew! pretty panicky day!
